Starting in 2002 as an NBA first round draft pick from the University of Maryland Terrapins, Chris Wilcox was known for his enthusiasm, critical thinking, athleticism, toughness, and intelligence. Chris desired more and had the capacity to take on more, which made the pivot from the NBA to business leadership organic, instantaneous, and expected.

The professional basketball athlete for the Los Angeles Clippers, Seattle Supersonics, Oklahoma City Thunder, NY Knicks, Detroit Pistons, and Boston Celtics is now advocating for those who are not yet able to advocate for themselves. He does this through the design and creation of multiple entities, such as Wilcox Ventures LLC, the parent company of several of his businesses and philanthropic organizations.

Chris Wilcox’s past experiences have prepared him for his current leadership role: he is a power forward. After creating the parent company Wilcox Ventures LLC, he launched HEDY (Helping Everyday Youth), an entity lauded for its approach to teaching and cultivating youth by having them identify their strengths, celebrate them, and then share these strengths as contributions to the world. HEDY does so much more than teach; it has become a mental and medical best practice. HEDY’s educational approach uses a variety of tools to help young people locate their powers. Their use of robotics and laboratory sciences such as stem cell research has given Native Americans more of a purpose and meaningful focus. This cultural shift has resulted in monumental, positive results in attitude, hope, and behavioral health habits for Native American families:  significantly lowering the rate of drug and alcohol abuse, suicide, and sexually transmitted diseases such as HIV, and cementing the understanding of the mind/body well-being connection. HEDY’s robotics’ educational program competed in the Vex Robotics World Competition and placed in the top 25 two years in a row, 2018 and 2019.

Birthed from the COVID-19 pandemic, Chris designed and created Wilcox Distribution after seeing the need to get best-in-class medicines and supplies to the areas that need them the most.

Wilcox Distribution LLC is a trusted, leading wholesale distributor with an extensive inventory of high quality PPE products (FDA- and CE-registered gloves, gowns, medical scrubs, safety masks, medical equipment, and drug-screening tests), plus cleaning and sanitizing agents and solutions. Chis also has partners who are medical providers for COVID-19 testing (PCR and rapid antibody testing). In September 2020, Wilcox Distribution was awarded distribution rights to the world’s only medical device proven by the FDA to kill all airborne pathogens, including COVID-SARS at a rate of 99.99%, instantaneously and in one pass. The medical device which provides residential and industrial-grade, virus-killing heat technologies is known as IVP’s Biodefense Indoor Air Filtration and Protection System.

Chris has harmoniously combined his entrepreneurial pursuits by perfectly tying-in the things he is most passionate about: first, providing for his family, and second, having his businesses be a part of the bigger and greater cause of helping people. His ventures and approach for doing good and fair business unites others, requires critical thinking and problem-solving, and takes innovation and discernment to satisfy so many emerging needs. He is a committed family man. His family and closest friends attest that he is a positive influencer with a contagious and jovial personality which brings out his imaginative and creative side. When it comes to doing good and fair business, Chris’s handshake is a binding bond, and his words are a promise that will get amazing things done. A great deal needs to be accomplished–and can be done–for the aging population and underserved minority groups, including Native Americans, Hispanics, and Blacks around the world, if everyone chooses to Opt-in. Chris calls this philosophy the world’s B2B strategy. Chris, his wife Tiffany, and their family partner with numerous nonprofits including The Lupus Foundation, The American Heart Association, The United Way, and Associations of American Indian Affairs.
